Which Toyota models have the most 2026 recalls?

A campaign that lists several models counts once under each, so the column adds up to more than 20.

Model 2026 campaigns listing it
Tundra 5
RAV4 4
Grand Highlander 3
Land Cruiser 3
4Runner 2
Tacoma 2

Eleven other Toyota models appear on one campaign each, among them the Camry, Corolla, C-HR, Prius and Highlander.

Bar chart of Toyota's 2026 NHTSA recall campaigns by model. The Tundra is listed on 5, the RAV4 on 4, the Grand Highlander and Land Cruiser on 3 each, and the 4Runner and Tacoma on 2 each.

The Tundra's five are a mixed set: a rearview camera software campaign for the 2024 and 2025, an engine campaign for the 2024, and three campaigns filed under labels. Two of the RAV4's four are label campaigns too. The other two cover seat fasteners on the 2025 and engine control software on the 2026, filed October 7.

What systems do Toyota's 2026 recalls cover?

Electrical System leads with 6 campaigns, by NHTSA's top-level component label. Equipment is next with 4, and all four are filed under labels, NHTSA's component for the labels a vehicle is required to carry. The fix is usually a corrected label, but a wrong one can show incorrect load or tire figures, so it's still worth getting done.

Eight campaigns affect how a vehicle drives. 26V598000 covers a steering knuckle on the 2026 Grand Highlander, which we went through in our note on that recall, and 26V437000 an axle assembly on the same model. 26V514000 covers the front shock absorbers on the 2024 and 2025 Tacoma, 26V320000 internal engine parts on the 2024 Tundra and 26V659000 engine control software on the 2026 RAV4. Two cover the propulsion system of electrified models, 26V393000 on the 2026 bZ and 26V570000 on the 2026 C-HR, and the newest, 26V673000, fuel delivery hoses and fittings on the Land Cruiser.

Is Toyota recalling more than last year?

Slightly, 20 against 18. The bigger change is the spread:

No month this year has more than three. In 2025, Toyota reported one campaign between March and August, then 12 from September through December:

A single campaign can cover a few hundred vehicles or a million, so months with few campaigns don't mean fewer owners were affected.

Is my Toyota part of one of these?

Only a VIN lookup tells you, and NHTSA's recall lookup does it in a few seconds. The 2026 RAV4's page and every other model-year page on RideTruth list each campaign alongside the owner complaints. Save your vehicle in your garage, and each visit there runs a fresh recall search for it.
