Kia's US newsroom prices the 2027 Kia EV3 from $29,890 for the Light FWD to $45,890 for the GT AWD, MSRP before a $1,495 destination charge. Kia's October 1, 2026 release says the 2027 EV3 has arrived in US showrooms, with up to 321 miles of EPA-estimated range on the FWD Wind and Land. RideTruth's EPA data also places the EV3 against the Kia EV6 and the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt on efficiency.
What does each EV3 trim cost?
Kia's August 12, 2026 pricing release lists seven trim and drivetrain combinations. Kia's footnote says the prices exclude destination, taxes, title, license fees, options and retailer charges, and that actual prices are set by retailers. The battery and range columns come from Kia's October 1 release, which labels every range figure EPA-estimated. Kia calls the 58.3 kWh battery standard-range and the 81.4 kWh battery long-range.
| Trim | Drivetrain | MSRP before destination | Battery | EPA-estimated range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light | FWD | $29,890 | 58.3 kWh | up to 221 miles |
| Wind | FWD | $34,990 | 81.4 kWh | up to 321 miles |
| Land | FWD | $38,490 | 81.4 kWh | up to 321 miles |
| Wind | AWD | $38,690 | 81.4 kWh | 280 miles |
| Land | AWD | $41,690 | 81.4 kWh | 280 miles |
| GT-Line | AWD | $43,490 | 81.4 kWh | 280 miles |
| GT | AWD | $45,890 | 81.4 kWh | 280 miles |
fueleconomy.gov lists the same three range figures for the 2027 EV3: 221 for the standard-range FWD, 321 for the long-range FWD, and 280 for the long-range AWD and GT AWD. Kia's newsroom pricing lists a $1,495 destination charge as a separate line and publishes no price that includes it.
Kia's pricing page lists a Nightfall package, with 19-inch gloss black wheels, black exterior accents and a dark gray interior, at $1,500 on the Wind FWD and $1,000 on the Wind AWD. Kia's October release says Nightfall is standard on the Land. That page also says prices and equipment can change without notice.
How does the EV3's EPA efficiency compare with the EV6 and the 2027 Bolt?
EPA has rated four 2027 EV3 configurations, and RideTruth's catalog lists them at 103 to 117 MPGe combined. The FWD configurations are rated 115 and 117, and the two AWD configurations are both rated 103. Kia's October release gives the same figures: 115 for the Light, 117 for the FWD Wind and Land, and 103 for the AWD trims. All of these are MPGe ratings, EPA's efficiency scale for electric cars, and they cannot be set against a gasoline car's MPG.
The catalog's 2026 Kia EV6 has five rated configurations, running 83 to 115 MPGe combined. Across the EV6's 2022 through 2026 model years, its configurations run from 79 to 117, so the EV3's top rating of 117 matches the EV6's best in that span. The 2027 Chevrolet Bolt has one rated configuration, 120 MPGe combined, above every EV3 configuration; its price is in our Bolt post. These are efficiency ratings only. They do not cover range, price or size. EPA rates each configuration separately.

What has Kia said about charging, and what does NHTSA have on file?
Kia says the EV3's battery can charge from 10% to 80% in an estimated 29 minutes on the Light and 31 minutes on the other trims. A footnote in Kia's release bases those times on Kia Corporation testing and warns that actual charging varies with conditions. The EV3 has a native NACS charge port, according to Kia. Kia's pricing page and releases list MSRP and options only, with no lease or financing offers.
As of October 10, 2026, RideTruth's NHTSA data lists 0 complaints and 0 recall campaigns for the 2027 EV3, and complaint counts are raw owner reports, not failure rates.
